Modular system for breast diagnosis and breast interventions

The X-ray machine has X-ray unit with gantry (10) rotating around vertical axis of rotation and has X-ray tube and X-ray detector. The gantry is suspended at the underside of the patient couch (20), and an instrument-carrier is provided for support of an intervention instrument, which is positioned from downside by the gantry in the surrounding of the breast, so that intervention is performed with the intervention instrument. An independent claim is included for a method for operation of X-ray machine.
