The method involves displaying display elements on a graphical user interface when one of controls is fulfilled. A medical diagnosis object is characterized as a chronic diagnosis, where the object is stored with the controls in a linked manner. A user request is outputted on the interface whether a medical diagnosis linked with the diagnosis object is assumed as a permanent diagnosis. The medical diagnosis is displayed as the permanent diagnosis in a display window independent of a position of a scroll bar when the medical diagnosis is assumed as the permanent diagnosis by a user. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a data processing system comprising a graphical user interface, to perform a method for displaying chronic diseases on a graphical user interface of a data processing system (2) a computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions to perform a method for displaying chronic diseases on a graphical user interface of a data processing system.
