Active medical device for treating cardiac heart failure by controlled adjustment of atrioventricular and interventricular delays

The device has an adjusting unit for adjusting atrioventricular and interventricular delays based on hemodynamic parameters of a patient. A verifying unit, that is operated on cardiac cycles in a repeated manner, verifies concordance of the hemodynamic parameters with a predetermined criteria, where the criteria includes comparison of ratio between left ventricular pre-ejection interval and left ventricular ejection time with a maximal threshold value, and comparison of diastic filling time with the maximal threshold value.
