The invention relates to an energy supply device (12) for industrial robots (1), having a housing (24), in which a section of an energy supply line (17) is guided for length compensation, and a cover (26), which is supported by way of support means (37) with regard to the housing (24) adjustably between a first position, in which the cover (26) releases an access opening (36) to the section of the energy supply line (17) guided in the housing (24), and a second position, in which the cover (26) covers the access opening (36). In order to create an energy supply device (12), in which a section of an energy supply line (17) guided in the housing (24) is easily accessible, particularly without having to move out of position, or remove, the energy supply device (12) itself, or any machine installations disposed near or on the same, the invention provides to configure support means (37) for adjusting the cover (26) while maintaining the orientation of the cover plane in the first and second positions.
