PURPOSE: A vehicle control method using a portable phone smart key is provided to starts a vehicle directly without using a key within a short distance range by using a portable phone.;CONSTITUTION: A portable phone(10) sends a portable phone command, and periodically transmits information. The information includes the time of information transmission. A receiver installed in a vehicle receives the transmitted information and estimates the distance between the receiver and portable phone by comparing the receiving time with the time included in the information.
