PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a transition metal-carbon nanotube nanocomposite is provided to form a transition metal thin film on a carbon nanotube by the electroless plating. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a transition metal-carbon nanotube nanocomposite comprises the steps of mixing a carbon nanotube and a borohydride salt solution to form a borohydride salt-carbon nanotube composite; and mixing the borohydride salt-carbon nanotube composite and a transition metal precursor solution to form a transition metal thin film or a transition metal particle on the surface of the carbon nanotube. The transition metal is at least one selected from the group consisting of Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Cd, Zn, Ru, Pd, Ag, Pt and Au.
