PURPOSE: A dye-sensitive solar cell comprising a light absorption layer where plural nano rod or bridge nano rod type metal oxides are aligned along one direction and a fabrication method thereof are provided to improve light absorption rate of a dye, by forming a thin film optical absorption layer. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor electrode(100) includes a first transparent substrate(101) and a light absorption layer(102) arranged on one side of the first transparent substrate. An opposite counter electrode(110) is arranged opposite to the semiconductor electrode. The opposite electrode includes a second transparent substrate(111) and a catalyst layer(112) arranged to face the light absorption layer on the second transparent substrate. An electrolyte layer(103) is intervened between the semiconductor electrode and the opposite electrode. The light absorption layer includes plural metal oxides and a dye absorbed in the metal oxide. The plural metal oxides have nano rod or bridge nano rod types.
