A paper shredder in which a driving motor is equipped is provided to control the shredder after a driving motor stops, without reverse rotation of the shredder when the driving motor is overloaded. A paper shredder in which a driving motor is equipped comprises the followings: a case(10) of a box-shape; a cutting unit(20) cutting waste document inserted through a document inlet(15), and fixed on a pair of cutter shafts in which a plurality of cutting blades(25) are fixed on an upper side of the case; a board(40); and a waste document case(30) in which the cut waste documents are piled up. The driving motor(28) is a run-typed driving motor. The board includes a circuit capable of controlling initial driving of the driving motor.
