PURPOSE: A method of control to expand a fuel cut-off range for a soft type HEV is provided to control the extension control method of the engine fuel cut-off region of the soft type HEV and to improve the hybrid fuel ratio of a vehicle, and a ventilation function.;CONSTITUTION: A method of control to expand a fuel cut-off range for a soft type HEV comprises: a first step of checking whether it is fuel blockage state or not; a second step of checking whether the current car speed is within a fuel barrier sustaining possible section; a third step of deciding the fuel barrier maintenance according to the location information of an accelerator pedal(APS); a fourth step of deciding whether it is fuel barrier maintenance or not by comparing a battery SOC and a fuel barrier sustaining possible minimum SOC value, and operating a timer; a fifth step of supplying required torque as a motor torque corresponding to the location information of an accelerator pedal in the fuel barrier state; and a sixth step of comparing the increased time of the operated timer and the predetermined fuel barrier maintenance maximum start time.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
