PURPOSE: An insert material fixing device of a mold assembly and an insert material fixing method thereof are provided to improve the quality of the insert material by preventing insert material from being damaged or misaligned.;CONSTITUTION: An insert material fixing device of a mold assembly comprises a first template, a second template(20), a slide core(40), and a drive part(30). The second template is installed on a movable plate(10), selectively adheres closely to the first template, and forms cavity corresponding to the shape of a product. The slide core is placed on the upper side of the second template to be detached and moves vertically to the relative movement direction of the first and the second template. The slide core form a part of a cavity and an installation groove is formed therein.
