PURPOSE: A steering system and a method thereof are provided to minimize the steering of a steering system by executing the function of a torque sensor with a first sensor and a second sensor if a steering system is normally operated when a torque sensor is out of order.;CONSTITUTION: A steering system(100) is composed of a first sensor(110), a second sensor(120), and a steering controller(130). The first sensor generates a first signal by recognizing the torsion of one side of a torsion bar(140). The second sensor generates a second signal by recognizing the torsion of the other side of the torsion bar.
