PURPOSE: A high efficiency organic light emitting diode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to maximize the light extraction effect by discharging the light which can be converted into the heat among lights discharged from a light emitting layer positioned between two electrodes.;CONSTITUTION: A first electrode(2) is located on a substrate(1). More than one layer of an organic layer(3) including a light emitting layer is positioned on the first electrode. A second electrode(4) is located on the organic layer. The substrate and the first electrode have the optical permeability. A high refractive index layer(5) is formed between the substrate and the first electrode. A layer including material for emitting light is formed between the substrate and the high refractive layer or between the first electrode and the high refractive layer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
