PURPOSE: A boost converter-embedded electromotive power steering engine control unit is provided to efficiently enable the operation of the electromotive power steering by constituting a simplified embedded boost converter and mounting a three phase half bridge type inverter.;CONSTITUTION: A boost converter-embedded electromotive power steering engine control unit comprises a microcontroller(20), an interface circuit(21), a three phase half-bridge inverter(22), a motor(23), voltage level detection circuits(24,25), a current detection circuit(26), a boost converter. The boost converter is composed of an inductor(L1), a capacitor(C1), one FET(Q1) and one diode(D1). When the FET of the boost converter is turned on, voltage between drain and source becomes zero voltage according with the voltage applied on the diode. When the FET of the boost converter is turned on, current flows in a rear battery through an inductor.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
