PURPOSE: A cutting insert fixing device is provided to improve machining accuracy by securely fixing a cutting insert on the seat of a tool holder.;CONSTITUTION: A cutting insert fixing device comprises a cutting insert(20), a tool holder(10), a clamp(11), a clamping bolt(103), and a compression coil spring(104). The tool holder has a pocket, a spring recess(10-1), and an inclined cylindrical groove(10-2). The clamp fixes the cutting insert placed on the tool holder. The clamp comprises a projection, a semicircular column-shaped inclined projection, and a clamp bore. The protrusion is inserted into an insert center hole(20-1) of the cutting insert. The protrusion pulls and pushes the cutting insert to a wall and a floor. The clamping bolt is screwed with the tool holder through the clamp bore. The clamping bolt applies the power to the clamp.
