PURPOSE: A curved surface molding method of a steel sheet using variable mold is provided to improve the accuracy of molding operation by utilizing an automatic molding device in which a developed exclusive program is installed.;CONSTITUTION: A curved surface molding method of a steel sheet using variable mold comprises following steps. The mechanical property and shape of the blank are defined and inputted into a finite element analysis program. The goal curved surface of an object steel sheet is defined and inputted. The relative distance between the goal curved surface and the blank are decided by the program. The relation between the reaction force and the slack displacement is calculated through finite-element analysis based on the inputted information. A spring-back effect which is different according to each forming punch is predicted. Each punch contact point is corrected. The finite-element analysis and the spring back effect are applied to arrange the location of the forming punch.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
