MEASUREMENT METHOD OF COLOR DISPERSION PROPERTIES OF AN OPTICAL WAVEGUIDE SAMPLE USING AN INTERFERENCE FRINGE MEASURING SYSTEM, TO SIMPLY AND ACCURATELY MEASURING COLOR DISPERSION PROPERTIES WITHOUT USING A COMPLEX MEASUREMENT DEVICE
PURPOSE: A measurement method of color dispersion properties of an optical waveguide sample using an interference fringe measuring system is provided to accurately measure absolute color dispersion properties of an extremely short optical fiber, an optical guide, or an optical element.;CONSTITUTION: A measurement method of color dispersion properties of an optical waveguide sample using an interference fringe measuring system comprises the following steps. A spectrum which coming out by passing through the interferometer is measured and a frequency spectrum is obtained by changing the wavelength into the frequency(S11). A phase difference value, the frequency shift from a preset reference frequency, is calculated by using the frequency spectrum(S13). A spectrum which coming out by passing through the interferometer is measured and a frequency spectrum is obtained by changing the wavelength into the frequency within the state which the optical waveguide sample is connected to the sample arm(S15). A phase difference value, the frequency shift from a preset reference frequency, is calculated by using the frequency spectrum(S17). The phase difference value by the calculated frequency shift is fitted to the tailor series expansion and the coefficients of the tailor series are determined(S19). A color dispersion value is calculated by using the coefficients of the tailor series(S21).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
