PURPOSE: A device for reducing the size of a ranging response signal in a wireless communication system is provided to accord a service flow which a base station and a terminal recognize through a ranging response signal by forming bitmap according to a service flow index in the wireless communication system.;CONSTITUTION: In case a ranging request signal is received, a BS(Base Station) selects a service flow for service providing admission of SFs(Service Flows)(303). The terminal offers the service flows. The base station assigns a new connection identifier to the selected service flows(305). The base station forms bitmap(307). The base station forms a ranging response signal(309). The base station transmits the ranging response signal to the terminal transmitting the ranging request signal(311).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
