PURPOSE: A composition containing a glycogen synthase kinase-3 inhibitor is provided to suppress apoptosis and to reduce auditory cell injury.;CONSTITUTION: A composition for protecting auditory cells contains glycogen synthase kinase(GSK-3) inhibitor as an active ingredient. The GSK-3 inhibitor is SB216763 or LiCl. A composition for preventing and treating cancer contains cisplatin and GSK-3 inhibitor as active ingredient. A method for screening an agent for preventing and relieving auditory cell injury by cisplatin administration comprises: a step of pre-culturing cells which express GSK-3 polypeptide with or without test agent; a step of measuring GSK-3 activity in the pre-cultured cells together with test agent; and a step of comparing activity degree of GSK-3.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
