PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling high precision wear rate/upwards shift rate of twin roll strip caster edge dam are provided to perform the stable control on the vertical movement of an edge dam.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method for controlling high precision wear rate/upwards shift rate of twin roll strip caster edge dam comprises: a step of calculating minimum dimension of the slab in which the edge dam is worn away(S2); a step of measuring the length of the slab casting(S3); a step of deciding the minimum dimension in which the length of the slab measured at calculated in the minimum dimension production step(S4); and a step of controlling the edge dam to move to the fixed quantity of wear, if the length of slab arrives in to the minimum dimension(S5).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
