PURPOSE: A cylinder lubricating apparatus and a reciprocating piston combustion engine with the same are provided to save lubricating oil, prevent the contamination of a container due to the lubricating oil, and improve lubrication of a running surface of the cylinder.;CONSTITUTION: A piston(5) moves in a reciprocating motion along slide surface of a cylinder(4) between a bottom dead point and a top dead point. A slot(7) for low air volume is formed in an inflow area(6) of the cylinder. In an operation mode, air is supplied to a combustion space(8) of a cylinder through the slot for low air volume.
