PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for lubricating a cylinder inside piston device of a reciprocating piston type combustion engine and a cylinder lubricating device capable of effectively lubricating a piston by an extremely small lubricating oil quantity.SOLUTION: Lubricating oil is introduced into a so-called cylinder liner via at least one lubricant opening, and lubricates a piston. For further effectively lubricating the piston by an extremely small quantity of lubricating oil, a method and a device are provided in response to the present invention for generating a lubricant introduced into the cylinder liner via the lubricant opening by mixing the lubricating oil with a carrier fluid before being introduced into the cylinder liner. For this purpose, for example, a lubricating oil pump simultaneously sucks the lubricating oil from a lubricant tank and the carrier fluid of a water form from a carrier fluid tank. In this point, the lubricant is formed by mixing the lubricating oil and water, and is introduced into the cylinder liner in the next place.
