PURPOSE: An IPTV system and a method for transmitting IPTV contents data are provided to reduce the load of an IPTV contents server.;CONSTITUTION: A plurality of first terminals(214) is connected to a multicast network. The first terminals receive and store divided sections from a contents server. The second terminal(215) is connected to the multicast network. The second terminal receives the divided section stored in the first terminal by a P2P mode.
