PURPOSE: A width direction plating thickness controller at a molten metal plating process and a controlling method thereof are provided to control plate capacity by controlling interval between an air knife and steel sheet.;CONSTITUTION: A width direction plating thickness controller at a molten metal plating process comprises a plate shape detecting unit(110), a nozzle(140), a calculator(120) and a pressure controller(130). The plate shape detecting unit recognizes the width direction shape of the steel sheet. According to the width direction shape which nozzle is acknowledged from the plate shape detecting unit, the respective other pressure set point is given and the respective width direction plating amount is controlled. According to calculator is the acknowledged width direction shape, each pressure set point given to each nozzle is calculated. According to each pressure set point which the pressure controller is calculated in calculator, the pressure flowing in into each nozzle is controlled respectively.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
