PURPOSE: A PCR primer pair for detecting cowpea chlorotic mottle virus(CCMV) and a method for detecting CCMV using the same are provided to accurately and quickly confirm the presence of CCMV in unknown sample. CONSTITUTION: A PCR primer pair for detecting cowpea chlorotic mottle virus comprises a primer pair of sequence numbers 8 and 12, sequence numbers 5 and 15, sequence numbers 2 and 18, sequence numbers 1 and 20, sequence numbers 1 and 21, and sequence numbers 1 and 23. A method for detecting CCMV from a sample; a step of isolating RNA from the sample; a step of performing RT-PCR using primer pair; and a step of separating PCR products.
