PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing star shaped zinc oxide particles is provided to efficiently obtain the star shaped zinc oxide particles through a simple process without a special device using a solution containing a tetrahydroxozincate ion.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing star shaped zinc oxide particles comprises the following steps: heating a solution containing a tetrahydroxozincate(II) ion and controlling the concentration of a zinc ion(Zn^2+) in a level of less than 0.008M by diluting the solution with a solvent. The solution containing the tetrahydroxozincate(II) ion includes the zinc ion and a hydroxide ion(OH-). The solution has a pH of 12.5-14.0.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
