PURPOSE: A mutant strain of geldanamycin biosynthesis regulator gene and a method for producing geldanamycin using the same are provided to improve productivity and to ensure antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory properties.;CONSTITUTION: An inactive construct of gel 19 gene is inactivated by mutating gel19 gene with a base sequence of sequence number 1. The inactive construct has an antibiotics resistant gene which is inserted to the gel19 gene. The mutant strain has deposit number KCTC11469BP.
