A Floating type Wave Height Meter and Method for Warning Abnormal Wave and Period

A floating wave height meter and a method for warning abnormal wave and period are provided to improve safety by installing a plurality of wave height gauges to detect wave height and period. A floating wave height meter comprises: a floater(10) including a lower body(12) and an upper body(14); an index part(20) unitarily equipped at the upper end of the upper body of the floater; a weight member(30) which is built in the inner bottom of the lower body of the floater; a measuring member(40) integrally arranged at the upper body of the floater in the longitudinal direction; a bracket supported in the heavy body inside the lower body of the floater; a memory(60) receiving wave height and measured amplitude on a real time basis and storing the wave height and measured amplitude; an antenna(70) transmitting the measured amplitude or the wave height to a controller; and a battery(80) supplying the power to the memory. The memory, the antenna and the battery are installed at the bracket.
