PURPOSE: A water leakage detector for a water pipe and method using the same is provided to easily and accurately detect a leakage point by human sense of sight and smell, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing cost and time.;CONSTITUTION: A water leakage detector(10) for a water pipe comprises: a combustion unit wherein flammable substance is injected and burned, an inlet(120) which accepts air into the combustion unit, an outlet(130) which discharges detection gas which is generated from combustion of the flammable substance and the air; and a cooling part which comprises a jacket which covers the combustion unit, a coolant inlet(220), and a coolant outlet.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
