A methylotrophic bacteria for cultivating tomato is provided to reduce the metal toxicity including a nickel in a tomato and promoted plant growth under the presence of heavy metal. A methylotrophic bacteria which reduces the nickel cytotoxicity and promotes the plant growth is a methylobacterium oryzae sp. nov. CBMB20. The nickel(Ni) has the cytotoxicity in the plant, inhibits the plant growth and disturbs in metabolism and physiological process. The methylobacterium oryzae sp. nov. CBMB20 is pink colorability and non-coloability methanol magnetization bacteria which is derived from a stem of rice plant and produces the ACC deaminase.
