PURPOSE: A device for automatically turning on and off a tunnel lighting device is provided to automatically turn on or off the tunnel lighting devices by sensing a vehicle which passes through a tunnel. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of vehicle entrance sensors(3) are installed in the entrance of a tunnel in order to sense the entry of the vehicles. A plurality of vehicle exit sensors(4) are installed in the exit of the tunnel to sense the exit of the vehicle. A plurality of relays control power voltage supplied to the lighting devices. A plurality of rectifier circuits(5) rectify an AC voltage to a DC voltage in order to supply the driving voltage of the relay. A switching unit(6) is switched on or off with an output signal from a controller(7). The controller turns on or off the switching unit to control the on and off of the lighting devices.
