FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: silicon dioxide powder is formed at 0.3 to 0.5 GPa to produce porous matrix that features relative density of 0.2 to 0.5. Hexaqua manganese nitrate powder is mixed with water solution of zinc nitrate with 50±10 g/l concentration in proportion that 0.05 to 0.15 g of manganese powder fall on 1 ml of zinc nitrate water solution. Silicon dioxide porous matrix is impregnated with obtained mix and dried at the temperature lower than that of the fluid component of said mix for 0.5 to 5 h. Impregnation-drying cycle is carried out to reach manganese concentration of 0.18 to 0.64 % by weight of total final weight of the formed mass. Dried silicon dioxide matrix is now annealed in air at 1200±100°C for 0.5 to 5 h.;EFFECT: intensive green-colour radiation in the region 500-570 nm.;1 tbl, 1 dwg, 9 ex
