SECTION OF MOTOR ROAD WITH CULVERT UNDER EMBANKMENT IN CONDITIONS OF NORTHERN CONSTRUCTION-CLIMATIC ZONE

FIELD: construction.;SUBSTANCE: road is longitudinally inclined towards culvert and is equipped with a drain pipe of system for water drainage from road surface. Inlet head of culvert is equipped with protective visor, which provides for arrangement of cavity free of ice and/or snow in cold period of the year near culvert ceiling from protective visor to outlet head. Protective cap is made of metal in the form of visor in the lower part and in the form of plate in upper part that elevates above ice crust. Drain pipe adjoins internal surface of visor with creation of outlet gap that provides for water direction from drain pipe to bent surface of visor. Outlet head is made as of corridor type and directly upstream culvert it is equipped with a cover located over culvert ceiling, and protective visor at the inlet is fixed to cover, at the same time visor of protective screen creates an additional cavity under cover, which is hydraulically communicated to drain pipe. Inlet head may comprises tubular link, which is higher than culvert. In this case protective visor is attached at the inlet to this tubular link. Plate of protective visor is equipped with an additional plate, which faces south with its side surface, is installed with inclination of 5-15 degrees to the north and is connected to plate of protective visor with a weld seam. Plate of protective visor and its additional plate are painted with dark-red paint, providing for solar radiation absorption coefficient of ρ≥0.8.;EFFECT: increased operational reliability.;7 cl, 4 dwg
