A stone model is cast. A rim custom tray is prepared. A functional impression is made. The centric relation is determined. The canine lines and midline are marked on the rim. A smiling face of the patient is scanned. The functional impression is scanned. The virtual model of the patient's face is matched with the virtual model of the prosthetic bed. A cast is made by the impression, plastered in a plastic polymerisation flask. The first half of the mould is scanned. Data are collected in a virtual space. Three-dimensional modelling of a dental plate and teeth setup follow. The virtual model of the jaw is matched with the virtually modelled denture. The second half of the mould is modelled by the external boundary of the flask to be matched with the first half. The internal boundary of the second half is formed by subtraction of the external boundary of the virtual model from its volume. The second half of the mould is made by prototyping. The following stages are provided by conventional laboratory practice.
