FIELD: power industry.;SUBSTANCE: plasma igniter for ignition of pulverised coal fuel includes fuel feed channel 1 in which there installed are rod electrodes 2 and electrically-conducting cone 3 oriented in the fuel flow direction; at that, rod electrodes 2 are straight and parallel relative to each other, electrically-conducting cone 3 is located between rod electrodes 2 and installed with possibility of being turned relative to its longitudinal axis, and on its side surface there are longitudinal slots 4 in compliance with geometrical location of rod electrodes 3.;EFFECT: invention improves operating reliability of plasma igniter and increases its service life owing to eliminating periodic repeated mode of its start-up, and decreasing electrode erosion.;3 cl, 3 dwg
