The support (1) has a cushion (4) filled with a filling material. A cushion cover (6) retains and envelops the cushion and includes a fixing device (7) i.e. fixing band (11). The cushion is connected with a headrest (2) using the fixing device. A removable hygiene cover (10) e.g. operational head hood, covers around the cushion cover and the headrest. The cushion cover has an opening, which is closed by a zip fastener. The fixing band is provided with a variably adjustable length. The hygiene cover is formed as an elastic or rubber cover.
