The neck support for a motor vehicle seat equipped with a headrest has a cylindrical roll-like neck support cushion (3) located between the upper seat back end and headrest. The neck support cushion is bounded at least by the width of the headrest and is elastic and inflatable. A retaining cord (5) is attached to the ends (4) of the neck support cushion to form an endless fastening element passing round the headrest or its support. The retaining cord is constructed from elastic and inflatable material.
