The sensor has a set of circular disc-shaped electrodes (3) arranged on a planar support (1), and a measuring unit (6) measuring capacity or change in capacitance. A size of the electrodes is between 1 to 15 millimeters, and a distance between the electrodes is smaller than 10 millimeters. The electrodes are surrounded in a plane of the support by a shielding electrode (5), and data is accumulated in an evaluating device (8) on a geometrical limited capacitance change. A shielding electrode (7) is operated such that the electrodes are divided into evaluation groups.
