The method involves arranging an electrical field with an electrical potential difference such that a substrate is tightened and accurately positioned held by electrostatic effect with a bearing surface to a transporting surface (7) of a flat belt (3). A high voltage is transferred to the flat belt with partially electrically conducting cross section between the flat belt and the substrate positioned on the transporting surface of the flat belt during the transporting moment of the substrate.
