The method comprises machiningly and/or embossingly introducing undercuts (3) and/or preforms of the undercuts into a surface (2), and carrying out a further non-cutting process step with the preforms for producing the undercuts. The undercuts are milled or rotated as a part of a saw-tooth geometry in the surface. Prismatic structures are introduced as preforms into the surface, and have a cross-section in the type of isosceles triangle. The preforms are splitted and compressed in the further process step. The undercuts are produced in a hollow cylinder (1) in a circulating manner. The method comprises machiningly and/or embossingly introducing undercuts (3) and/or preforms of the undercuts into a surface (2), and carrying out a further non-cutting process step with the preforms for producing the undercuts. The undercuts are milled or rotated as a part of a saw tooth geometry in the surface. Prismatic structures are introduced as preforms into the surface, and have a cross-section in the type of isosceles triangle. The preforms are splitted and compressed in the further process step. The undercuts are produced in a hollow cylinder (1) in a circulating manner. An axially symmetrical, radially deliverable tool is used for rotating, milling, splitting and/or compressing. A tool for splitting is used with three rotatable rollers, which are formed among each other in the type of circular blades stacked to each other with a defined interval. The preforms are embossed with jaws, whose lateral surface has a microtopography, by an axially symmetrical device in the form of a microcavern geometry. A non-cutting transformation of the microcavern geometry takes place in the further process step for forming the undercuts. The microcavern geometry is splitted and/or compressed in the further process step.
