The method involves creating expanded text information (T') comprising original text information (T) and abbreviation variants (L1-L4) of the text information (T). The expanded text information is stored in a database (DB) or in a memory unit and transmitted to an analyzer that detects a target system-specific representation breadth of target systems (Z1-Z3). The abbreviation variants adapted for the target system are determined and represented in the target system, where the analyzer is arranged as a separate unit between the storage unit and the target system.
