The method involves arranging a measuring arrangement with a sound emitting object (2) and a measuring sensor (3). An image of the arrangement is recorded by an optical camera (1) i.e. digital camera. The image is displayed on a display screen (4). A measuring sensor image (3') is marked on the display screen. Signals are measured by the marked sensor. Measurement data is stored in a data storage unit, and evaluated by an evaluation unit (5). Determination of position of the sensor is performed relative to the object over a position of the sensor image on the display screen. An independent claim is also included for a device for detecting and evaluating a measurement signal.
