The system (1) has a condenser (10) connected with a refrigerant outlet (7) of a compressor (4) for cooling compressed refrigerant. Evaporator branches (2, 3) are arranged between a refrigerant outlet (11) of the condenser and a refrigerant inlet of the compressor. Electronics (19) is provided for controlling and/or regulating controllable valves (13, 20). The refrigerant passes through one of the evaporator branches in two operating phases in a throttled permanent manner, where no cooling performance is triggered by the evaporator branches.
