The method involves moving an object (Ob) i.e. electronic component, to be recorded and a line scan camera (ZK) relative to each other during recording. Target -positions for individual points of a structure in pictures are determined, and actual positions of the individual points of the structure in the pictures are measured. The determined target-positions are compared with received actual positions of the points. An intermodulation factor is measured and determined based on a deviation between the determined target positions and the received actual positions.
