Exhaust silencer, particularly for internal combustion engine of motor vehicle, has tubular elongated housing, which limits both ends from front wall and whose inner chamber divides transverse walls into chambers
The exhaust silencer has a tubular elongated housing (62), which limits both ends from an front wall (70) and whose inner chamber divides transverse walls (72,74) into chambers (80,81,81a,82) intersecting through longitudinal axis (A) of the housing. A center pipe (86) is provided, which ends two discharge pipes (120) in an end chamber at a distance from the opening edges (118) and the opening edge (87) of the open center pipe is attached to a controlling system (100). The exhaust gas is transferred into two flowing portions through the discharge pipe to another pipe. An independent claim is included for a method for handling exhaust gases with an exhaust silencer.
