The film (1a) has a peel-off layer arranged in a pattern-form on a flexible, electrically insulating substrate (2). A metal layer (4) is formed on the peel-off layer by chemical electroless and/or galvanic plating, where the metal layer is removable from the peel-off layer. The metal layer is arranged perpendicular to a plane of the peel-off layer and congruent to the peel-off layer. The peel-off layer is designed as a metallic peel-off layer (3), which is formed from aluminum, silver, gold or a combination of alloys. The metal layer is formed from copper. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a structural element of copper from an electrically insulating carrier.
