The pressing tool (10) has two pressing jaws (20) which move radially in the direction of the press sleeve (36) of the press fitting (28) for pressing a press fitting. One of the press jaws has a cutting edge (26) for penetration into the pressing marker ring of the press sleeve. Each press jaw has a partially cylindrical pressing surface (22) for attachment at the press sleeve.
