Internal combustion engine torque determining method for motor vehicle, involves determining dynamic engine torque from stationary engine torque and dynamic correction factor, which is determined by engine parameters
The method involves determining stationary engine torque (10) from measured fuel flow mass of an internal combustion engine. Engine parameters such as load pressure (14), exhaust counter-pressure (16), engine speed (34), average engine speed and actual injecting volume are measured to determine a dynamic correction factor (44), where the dynamic correction factor comprises a measure for charge-cycle work of the engine. A dynamic engine torque (46) is determined from the stationary engine torque and the dynamic correction factor. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining engine torque of an internal combustion engine.
