Method for determining operative torque in drive wheel of internal combustion engine of motor vehicle, involves determining dynamic torque based on changes of rotational speed quadrate using proportionality factor
The method involves correcting a stationary torque with respect to a dynamic torque during speed change conditions based on load conditions in an internal combustion engine. A proportionality factor signal is output from a proportionality factor unit (14) based on an operation signal. A speed signal is output by a speed detecting unit (16). The dynamic torque is determined based on changes of a rotational speed quadrate using a proportionality factor, which influences the moment of inertia of a drivetrain. An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for determining an operative torque.
