The station (1) has a power socket (2) in which an external charging plug (3) is inserted. The charging plug is non-insertable in the power socket, when an electric vehicle is not in a parking condition. The station determines driving and/or moving condition of the electric vehicle. A power socket activation unit e.g. damper (4), is switched based on the driving and/or moving condition. The activation unit locks or releases the power socket. A transmitter transmits information regarding the inserted charging plug to a control unit (5).
