The gear box has four planetary gear sets (P1-P4), eight shafts (1-8), and three brakes (03-05), where the first shaft is connected with an internal gear of the first set. The fifth shaft is connected with sun gears of the first and third sets, and is coupled to a housing (G) of the gear. A bar of the first set is connected with the eighth shaft. An internal gear of the third set and the sun gear of the second set are connected with each other. A clutch (18) detachably connects the eighth shaft with the first shaft or the fifth shaft or connects the fifth shaft with the first shaft.
